Tissue: normal human skin. Fixation: formalin fixed paraffin embedded. Left panel: isotype control, Right panel:beta 2 Microglobulin antibody at 1 ug/ml for 20 min at RT. Peroxidase rabbit secondary antibody at 1:10,000 for 45 min at RT. Localization: beta 2 Microglobulin is cell membrane (and to lesser amount cytoplasmatic compartment). Staining: beta 2 Microglobulin as brown with diaminobenzidine and with a hematoxylin purple counterstain.

Storage & Safety

Storage Store at 4 deg C until reconstitution. Following reconstitution aliquot and freeze at -20 deg C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

General Information

Biological Significance Beta2 microglobulin also known as B2M is a component of MHC class I molecules, which are present on all nucleated cells (excludes red blood cells). In humans, the Beta2 microglobulin protein is encoded by the B2M gene.
