General Information

Biological Significance The rubeola virus is the causative agent in measles, a systemic illness characterized by rash, conjunctivitis, and mucosal Koplik spots. Rubeola virus is not a teratogen, although it has been associated with increased spontaneous abortion and perinatal mortality.
